My 2.5 year old jumped up and down yelling, “I like this place,” and “whoa, what’s that?” He was enthralled. I was surprised he enjoyed it so much as it is not the most interactive place and there isn’t much to do beside look at displays. He loved it, though. We’ve been talking about birds, bears, owls and turtles for days.

Great organization. They offer excellent presentations with animals and are willing to travel to your school/library, etc. Mike is great with the kids and an excellent presenter.

I don't know why people are so hard on this place. An unassuming exterior led to a sprawling 3 levels of taxidermy, just about every species I can imagine. Birds, bugs, mammals, some live reptiles, a hilarious chronically angry turtle, and so on. We spent about two hours here on a rainy day, didn't even get to the trails. There are a few rescue birds there, but it's not a zoo. Hard to feel sorry for a creature that is taken care of that wouldn't live a week in the wild. 5 Stars for the effort. Give it a chance. Appreciate the years of labor and attention that go into something like this.

My daughters loved this place. It's basically a ton of taxidermy and then some live birds in a sanctuary area. One of the bird keepers was there and spent a ton of time telling us stories and information about the birds. Great spot for pre school and elementary aged kids who like science or animals.

Very creepy and smelly. The live screech and saw whet owl are in lame small indoor cages, it was hurtful to watch. It smelled badly we felt so sorry for them
